WELCOME TO COPTIC SCOUTS
Coptic Scouts is a religious, educational, and nonprofit organization, which exists to strengthen and develop Coptic youth skills through service and spiritual growth. Coptic Scouts offers a fundamental method of enriching our youth in their love for Coptic Church and Jesus Christ our lord.
We offer three main classes in our Coptic Scouts program: Cub Scouts, Arrow of Light, and Scouts. Each class offers different method to prepare our youth to grow in their responsibility in service and love for the church. COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCHES
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,” (Psalm 92:12-14)
The first winter scouts meeting will be October 19th @12:00 - 2:00 PM. This is for all classes. Please make sure you eat breakfast before coming.
The church will be having a Hiking trip to Norvin Green State Forest. The trip will be on Saturday, October 26,2019. We will be meeting at church 8:00 A.M, the kids will call you on our way back. The parent or specified guardian must drop off and pick up their kids at the appointed place and times for the trip. The cost is $20 which will cover transportation, snacks, and drinks. This signed permission slip must be returned to any scout servant by September 29,2019 . No one will be allowed to attend without this signed permission slip. The church will be having a Camping trip to William H. Pouch Scout Camp. The trip will be from Friday, September 20, 2019 to Sunday September 22, 2019. We will be meeting at church for liturgy for the scouts and we will be back at church on Sunday 5:00 PM for the parents to pick up their kids. The parent or specified guardian must drop off and pick up their kids at the appointed place and times for the trip. The cost of the trip will be $35.This signed permission slip must be returned to any scout servant on September 08, 2019. No one will be allowed to attend without this signed permission slip. COPTIC SCOUTS GROUP
Coptic Scouts is a nonprofit, educational association, which exists to foster the development and growth of our youth. Coptic Scouts serves to teach young individuals the values of the Coptic Church and the Holy Bible, discipline, altruism, and service and to further increase their awareness of their Coptic heritage and Christian Orthodox values.
Coptic Scouts is a joint effort of Coptic Orthodox Church and Boy Scouts of America, and is open to children (both boys and girls) over the age of 7 or going to 4th grade.
